A Celtic-Inspired Stylized Session at The Old Mill in Rose Valley

In the heart of summer 2016, The Old Mill in Rose Valley provided the perfect setting for a breathtaking Celtic-inspired stylized session. With its timeless stone ruins and enchanting courtyard, this venue effortlessly transported us to an era rich with history and romance. The session was brought to life by a team of talented vendors, each contributing elements that perfectly complemented the theme.

A Feast Fit for the Emerald Isle Connor Catering crafted a stunning Celtic-inspired menu that was as delicious as it was artful. The culinary journey began with Rosemary & Cheddar Irish Soda Bread, paired with Kerrygold Irish butter and sea salt. Guests would have been warmed by the traditional Cocannon Soup, served with a crunchy parsnip chip. The entrées were nothing short of extraordinary—Guinness Marinated Lamb rested atop honey-roasted winter root vegetables and roasted potatoes, while the Pomegranate Glazed Quail was perfectly balanced with sweet potato pancakes. The experience concluded with a decadent Irish Bread Pudding, drizzled in whiskey caramel sauce, making for a truly unforgettable menu.

A Dreamy Design in Reds & Greens Deb from Peonies to Paintchips took the Celtic vision to new heights with her exquisite floral installations and design work. The color palette of deep reds and lush greens harmonized beautifully with the venue’s stone backdrop, creating a scene reminiscent of a fairy tale. Every detail, from the sprawling floral displays to the delicate accents, reflected a sense of old-world charm and natural beauty.

The Bride & Groom: A Storybook Romance Our model, Colleen, embodied ethereal elegance in a breathtaking Marchesa gown from La Belle Mariee. Her cathedral-length veil, adorned with real shamrocks sewn into the fabric, was a true testament to the Celtic theme. She went barefoot, embracing the natural elements, but completed her look with a stunning floral anklet that added a whimsical touch.

Our groom, Shannon, kept his look simple yet striking in a grey vest and pants, paired with a long-sleeved white shirt. His boutonniere was unlike any other—a pocket watch repurposed into a timeless floral accent, adding an air of vintage sophistication to his ensemble.

A Timeless Vision Come to Life With every element thoughtfully curated, this stylized session at The Old Mill in Rose Valley was nothing short of magical. From the historic backdrop to the intricate details in the food, florals, and fashion, the session beautifully captured the essence of a Celtic romance. It was a reminder that storytelling through photography is about more than just capturing moments—it’s about weaving a tale that lingers in the heart long after the last shutter clicks.
