Childhood Games

Last summer, Jen from Jennifer Design Events, and I dreamed up a shoot that had nothing to do with weddings…our primary focus in both our businesses. We both wanted to immerse ourselves into a stylized shoot that didn’t have anything to do with a ceremony, a sweetheart table, or a cake display. Instead, we dove back into our childhood and thought of some of our favorite games that we played as kids. Then, Jen took our ideas and intertwined a floral twist to each of them. She held a “Childhood Games” garden party for a bunch of her friends with children at her shop in NJ. One of my favorite bakers, Alexis of The Novel Baker, also partook in the shoot and being an amazing writer, wrote some beautiful captions about the party. Scroll below to read them!

“Our evening was one of the children playing with butterfly nets around a garden shed dancing with a floral hula hoop, and running with kites made of flowers. The children created a soup made of flowers, a floral tic-tac-toe, danced with sunglasses made of flowers, created collages of paper and petals, crowns of flowers, and held lightning bugs on fingers painted with fun summery pastels. For the little lads, there was a tiny fishing pond to fish for flowers.”
